“A mother, a daughter, a lover. Relationships can be murder.”

Fifteen years after leaving her daughter behind, the torch singer Becky del Páramo (Marisa Paredes) comes home to perform a concert. Rebeca (Victoria Abril) now reads the news on television, and she is married to Manuel, one of her mother's old lovers. Almodóvar sets the two women in the same rooms again, and when a murder is committed, Becky and Rebeca are left facing each other.
