Haruka Nanase (Nobunaga Shimazaki) would rather be in the water than anywhere else, and he starts middle school beside his oldest friend Makoto Tachibana (Tatsuhisa Suzuki). The two join the swim team, where Nagisa Hazuki (Satomi Sato) and Ikuya Kirishima (Koki Uchiyama) are among the teammates they get to know. Yasuhiro Takemoto sets one question over the team's first season: whether four boys who swim best alone can win together.
