High Strung

“See the music. Hear the dance.”

In the New York subway, a violinist named Johnnie (Nicholas Galitzine) busks for commuters, playing hip hop on strings. Ruby (Keenan Kampa) is a classical dancer on scholarship at the Manhattan Conservatory of the Arts, and Michael Damian directs the moment the two of them first cross paths. Their training and their tastes pull in opposite directions, yet a hip hop dance crew and a coming competition keep pushing them toward each other.
