“One year. Three parties. Twelve fools.”

Sandy (Justine Bateman) and Philip (Noah Baumbach) are newly married and living in Brooklyn, and they decide their social life needs improving. Their fix is to throw one party after another and invite every friend they have into their home. Noah Baumbach shot it in 1997, but a producers' cut reached DVD in 2002 over his objections, and the couple's entertaining is all that holds their new marriage together.
