Hilary and Jackie

(1998)Directed by Anand Tucker121 minDrama, Music
“The true story of two sisters who shared a passion, a madness, and a man.”

Two sisters grow up playing side by side, Hilary (Rachel Griffiths) on the flute and Jackie (Emily Watson) on the cello, until Jackie's talent lifts her into international fame. Anand Tucker tells the story in two halves, first from Hilary's side and then from Jackie's. Jackie spends her career being applauded, with a husband in Daniel Barenboim (James Frain), while she wants most to be close to her sister.
