Hillbilly Elegy

“Inspired by a true story three generations in the making.”

J.D. Vance (Gabriel Basso) is a Yale Law student in the middle of a job search when a phone call sends him back to his Ohio hometown. As he drives home, the film cuts between the present and his childhood, three generations of a Kentucky-rooted family seen through his own memory. Ron Howard puts J.D.'s mother Bev (Amy Adams) and his grandmother Mamaw (Glenn Close) at the center, two women pulling on him from opposite sides.
