“All hopes ruined by his parents.”

Yuichi Sumida (Shota Sometani) is fourteen, and he says he wants nothing from life except to be ordinary, while his home is a ruin and his father keeps coming back to it. Keiko Chazawa (Fumi Nikaido), a classmate with a troubled home of her own, attaches herself to him in the wreckage left by the earthquake. Sion Sono's story is about how little two children can lean on once the adults around them have given up.
