“Moscow 1955. Hot Jazz Meets Cold War.”

Mels (Anton Shagin) is a committed Communist in 1950s Moscow who wants nothing more than to keep his party membership. Then he meets Polza (Oksana Akinshina), a free-spirited jazz fan who runs with a crowd that dresses loud and listens to forbidden records, and he starts spending time with them. Valery Todorovsky stages their world as a musical, with colors and songs pushing against the gray of the surrounding city.
