Hit the Road

In the back seat of a car crossing rugged Iranian country, Dad (Hasan Ma'juni) rides with a broken leg, Mom (Pantea Panahiha) laughs through her tears, and Little Brother (Rayan Sarlak) bursts into karaoke. Only Big Brother (Amin Simiar) stays quiet, because the family is driving him toward the Azerbaijani border to smuggle him out of the country. Panah Panahi, making his feature debut, keeps nearly the whole film inside the car with them.
