Hold the Dark

Russell Core (Jeffrey Wright), a naturalist who has written about wolves, travels to a remote Alaskan village after a mother asks him to track the pack that took her young son. Jeremy Saulnier sets the search in a deep winter that swallows sound and distance. Core arrives expecting an animal hunt, and the longer he stays among the Slones and the village, the less sure he is of what he came to find.
