“Every day's a holiday... when you're in love.”

Johnny Case (Cary Grant) is a self-made young financier who wants to quit working for a while and take a long holiday while he is still young. He has just won Julia Seton (Doris Nolan), the daughter of a millionaire banker, and she agrees to marry him, though her plan is for him to join her father's bank. George Cukor fills the Seton mansion with the family, and Julia's sister Linda (Katharine Hepburn) is the one who takes Johnny's side.
