Holiday Heart

“He'll do anything in his power... to keep them together.”

Holiday Heart (Ving Rhames) is a Christian drag queen who performs in clubs and has just lost the police officer he loved. Then he meets twelve-year-old Niki (Jesika Reynolds) and her mother, Wanda (Alfre Woodard), who is addicted to drugs, and he takes the girl in like his own. Robert Townsend's film, adapted from Cheryl L. West's play, is about a family nobody planned, held together by whoever is willing to show up.
