“WHAT A HOLIDAY!”

Why does Ted Hanover (Fred Astaire) keep turning up at the Holiday Inn, a country supper club that opens its doors on holidays only? The answer is Linda Mason (Marjorie Reynolds), the woman Jim Hardy (Bing Crosby) has fallen for and Ted wants as his new dance partner. Irving Berlin wrote twelve songs for the picture, and Jim has to hold onto Linda while Ted and his manager work the room.
