Hollywood Canteen

(1944)Directed by Delmer Daves124 minComedy, Music, Romance
“All of Hollywood's Heart is in it! Most of Hollywood's Stars are in it!”

It's 1944, and two soldiers on leave spend three nights at the Hollywood Canteen, a club where servicemen bound for overseas get free food, dancing and entertainment. Delmer Daves fills the floor with Warner Bros. stars playing themselves, including the Andrews Sisters and Bette Davis. Cpl. Slim Green (Robert Hutton) and Sgt. Nowland (Dane Clark) are only passing through, but they're soon arguing over the same evenings and the same night out.
