Robert Caine (Kirk Douglas) is pushing to build a nuclear power plant in the Mid-East when strange accidents and unexplained signs begin to gather around his own family. His son Angel (Simon Ward) works beside him, and the questions about the boy keep growing as the plant nears completion. Alberto De Martino stages the dread in cold, shut-in interiors, with Ennio Morricone's score pressing on every scene.
