“Starting over is not for beginners.”

Alice Kinney (Reese Witherspoon) is a single mother in Los Angeles who wants a fresh start and a little steadiness for her household. When three young filmmakers, Teddy (Nat Wolff), George (Jon Rudnitsky) and Harry (Pico Alexander), need a place to stay, she lets them move in. Hallie Meyers-Shyer fills the house with Alice, her daughters and three guys under one roof, the Los Angeles home turning into a place that suddenly holds a lot of people.
