Kevin McCallister (Macaulay Culkin) is eight years old and the youngest, shoved around by a crowded house of relatives who barely notice him. When his family leaves for a Christmas vacation in Paris, they forget him at home in suburban Chicago. Chris Columbus follows Kevin through the empty house and a pair of burglars, Harry (Joe Pesci) and Marv (Daniel Stern), who have picked his street as their target.
