Home from the Hill

“When you talk about great motion pictures you will talk about this one!”

Captain Wade Hunnicutt (Robert Mitchum) is the richest man in his Texas town, a hunter who answers to no one and keeps a wife, Hannah (Eleanor Parker), who has stopped answering him. He decides to take their teenage son Theron (George Hamilton) out into the woods and teach him to hunt. Vincente Minnelli builds the story around what a father hands down to his sons, and how much of it they never asked to carry.
