Home of the Brave

“The final test of courage is coming home.”

Word comes down that a unit of soldiers from Spokane will go home in two weeks, and the next day they are ambushed in an Iraqi city. Irwin Winkler follows four of them back to the States: a surgeon, William Marsh (Samuel L. Jackson), and a single mother, Vanessa Price (Jessica Biel), who returns without a hand. Each has to find a way to live in a house where the war no longer reaches, though it never fully lets go.
