Homeless to Harvard: The Liz Murray Story

“When there was nothing to believe in, she believed in herself.”

Liz Murray (Thora Birch) grows up in New York City with parents who love her and who are also addicted to drugs. Jean Murray (Kelly Lynch) and her husband keep the household together as best they can, but Liz is on the street at fifteen. Peter Levin follows her through a loss that changes things, and the film settles on one girl deciding to finish high school.
