Hondo

“Out of the gun smoke into her heart!”

A woman and her young son are living alone on a ranch in the middle of Apache country, and no one can say why she hasn't left. Army despatch rider Hondo Lane (John Wayne) rides in and finds Angie Lowe (Geraldine Page) holding her ground while the fighting closes around her. John Farrow shot it in 3D, and Hondo stays on that dry ground, a dog at his heels, the ranch standing alone in the glare.
