Honey

Six-year-old Yusuf (Bora Altaş) wants to read aloud as well as the other children at school, but a stammer makes the words stick in his throat. At home in the remote eastern Black Sea region, his father Yakup (Erdal Beşikçioğlu) climbs into the forest to hang beehives, and his mother Zehra (Tülin Özen) says little. Semih Kaplanoğlu fills the soundtrack with the creatures of the woods, and when the bees vanish, Yakup's livelihood is on the line.
