Honkytonk Man
“The boy is on his way to becoming a man. The man is on his way to becoming a legend.”
In the Great Depression, a boy named Whit (Kyle Eastwood) leaves his family's Oklahoma farm to ride along with his uncle Red Stovall (Clint Eastwood), a country singer who has an audition for the Grand Ole Opry. Clint Eastwood directs, and he gives the trip a loose pace with Grandpa (John McIntire) along for it. The boy sits beside Red in the car, the long road ahead of them and the guitar riding in back.
