Hope

“We won't let her shed tears again.”

On her way to school, eight-year-old So-won (Lee Re) is attacked and left barely alive, and her family is pulled into the long work of getting her well again. Her father Dong-hoon (Sul Kyung-gu) and mother Mi-hee (Uhm Ji-won) learn how to care for her while their own rage and grief keep rising, and Lee Joon-ik stays close to the three of them at home. Recovery here is the slow, ordinary effort of a family trying to stay whole.
