“Sometimes to keep the magic, you need to learn a few tricks.”

Kay (Meryl Streep) books a week of intensive counseling and tells her husband of thirty years that she is going, with or without him. Arnold Soames (Tommy Lee Jones) grumbles his way onto the plane, and the two sit down across from Dr. Bernie Feld (Steve Carell), who asks questions neither has answered aloud in decades. David Frankel keeps the focus on Kay, a woman who has decided she wants her marriage back.
