Hornblower: The Even Chance

Seventeen-year-old Horatio Hornblower (Ioan Gruffudd) reports to Portsmouth in 1794 for his first naval posting, under thundery skies and lashing rain. Aboard, a feud with fellow midshipman Jack Simpson (Dorian Healy) starts to cloud his place among the crew. Andrew Grieve builds this first of eight adaptations of C.S. Forester's novels around a young man whose standing, and his career, now depend on how he handles it.
