“New crime. Same tools.”

Nick Hendricks (Jason Bateman), Kurt Buckman (Jason Sudeikis) and Dale Arbus (Charlie Day) have a plan to quit working for other people and sell a product of their own, until a slick investor named Rex Hanson (Chris Pine) leaves the business in ruins. Sean Anders sends the three of them into a kidnapping scheme that none of them is built to carry out. Nick keeps trying to be the sensible one, and he never gets the plan any smaller.
