“Six stories of black horror.”

Six Black writers and six directors each take one short story, and every story starts with someone who wants a plain, ordinary thing: a family, a marriage, a quiet night. The segments run through racist vampires, a brand with a mind of its own, a lake with Abbie (Lesley-Ann Brandt) and Derek (Nathaniel Logan McIntyre), and Satan himself. Together they treat Black life in America as a place where the monsters are real and have long been part of the history.
