Horus (Hisako Ôkata) is a boy in the Iron Age north who pulls the Sword of the Sun from the hands of Moog, a rock giant. The sword sends him toward the lands of his ancestors, where he meets Hilda (Etsuko Ichihara), beautiful and hard to read. Isao Takahata directs, with Hayao Miyazaki on key animation, and Grunwald, the Demon of Ice, is already set against him.
