“Big cops. Small town. Moderate violence.”

Nicholas Angel (Simon Pegg) is the best officer in London, so good that his bosses transfer him to Sandford, a village where nothing ever seems to happen. Then a run of grisly accidents begins, and Angel, paired with PC Danny Butterman (Nick Frost), can't believe they are accidents. Edgar Wright sets a city cop's rigid professionalism against a village that insists everything is fine, and the film keeps asking how far people will go to keep it that way.
