Hot to Trot

(1988)Directed by Michael Dinner88 min · PGComedy
“"When I talk, you're gonna laugh yourself hoarse."”

Fred P. Chaney (Bobcat Goldthwait) inherits a horse from his late mother, and the horse talks. Don (voiced by John Candy) also knows the stock market, and with his tips Fred starts making real money in Chicago. Michael Dinner builds the comedy around a nervous young broker and his loud, confident partner, with Dabney Coleman and Virginia Madsen close by. Mostly it's about a man who finds his nerve once someone believes in him.
