Hotel

Irene (Franziska Weisz) takes a job as a receptionist at a hotel in the woods of the Austrian Alps, stepping into the place of a girl who left no trace behind. Jessica Hausner shows her learning the small routines of the desk and the staff, while her colleague Petra (Birgit Minichmayr) and the guests go about their days. Nobody here explains the missing girl, and the film leaves what goes unsaid to hang in the air.
