Hotel Rwanda

(2004)Directed by Terry George122 min · PG-13Drama, History, War
When the world closed its eyes, he opened his arms.

Paul Rusesabagina (Don Cheadle), a hotel manager in Kigali, opens the Hôtel des Mille Collines to refugees as genocide spreads through Rwanda in the spring of 1994. He bargains with soldiers and generals to keep them alive while the killing continues outside. By the end, what matters most is not whether Paul survives, but whether his wife Tatiana (Sophie Okonedo) and the people sheltered in his hotel live to leave it.
