In New Orleans, as Hurricane Katrina hits, Nolan Hayes (Paul Walker) is left alone in a hospital with his newborn daughter, and the power that keeps her breathing has gone out. Every hour, he has to find a way to keep her alive. Eric Heisserer, writing and directing, holds the camera close on Nolan's face, so the whole film is lived through one man's exhaustion.
