House

“In the heart of a violet forest, an old house awaits young girls.”

Gorgeous (Kimiko Ikegami) packs up her friends Kung Fu (Miki Jinbo), Fantasy (Kumiko Ohba), Prof (Ai Matsubara) and Mac (Mieko Satoh) for a trip to her aunt's old country house, hoping to feel closer to her late mother. Nobuhiko Obayashi fills the place with painted skies, a rock score by Godiego and a mood that swings between giggles and dread. The girls arrive as friends who finish each other's sentences, and the house starts to separate them.
