Dr. Gustav Niemann (Boris Karloff) breaks out of prison with his hunchbacked assistant Daniel (J. Carrol Naish), and takes over a traveling chamber of horrors. Erle C. Kenton fills the wagon with a bored Dracula, a frozen Monster and a tormented Wolf Man (Lon Chaney Jr.), each one a tool for the doctor's revenge. Larry Talbot only wants to die, and Niemann keeps promising a cure he has no plan to give.
