Five strangers each hold an invitation to a party at a house where seven people are said to have died, and each is offered $10,000 to stay the night. Frederick Loren (Vincent Price) hosts, and his wife Annabelle (Carol Ohmart) smiles beside him, though the two barely hide what they think of each other. William Castle hands every guest a gun, arrived in by hearse, and what the Lorens say across the table is more unsettling than anything in the dark.
