How to Beat the High Cost of Living

Jane (Susan Saint James), Elaine (Jane Curtin) and Louise (Jessica Lange) are three women in Eugene, Oregon, short on cash after the recession of the 1970s and tired of waiting on their alimony checks. Their answer is to steal the million dollars sitting inside a giant plastic ball at the Valley River Center shopping mall.
