At American International Pictures in 1958, Pete Dumond (Robert H. Harris) has spent years building the studio's monsters in the make-up chair. Then the new bosses fire him, and he turns to the creations he made, with Tony Mantell (Gary Conway) and Larry Drake (Gary Clarke) still wearing his Frankenstein and werewolf faces. Herbert L. Strock follows a man who cannot let go of his work and wants the studio to pay for it.
