“What started as fire and fury will become friendship.”

Hiccup (Jay Baruchel) is a shy, undersized Viking teenager in the village of Berk, and his father Stoick (Gerard Butler) leads men who measure a boy by how many dragons he has killed. When Hiccup finally brings one down and finds he can't finish it, he names it Toothless and starts meeting it in secret. Dean DeBlois and Chris Sanders leave the boy and the beast alone together, the village behind them, Toothless watching him.
