Hiccup (Jay Baruchel) is the scrawny son of a Viking chieftain in Berk, where killing dragons is the path to glory and he keeps failing at it. Instead of weapons, he builds a contraption that shoots down a dragon, landing him in dragon-training school. There, a wild black dragon unlike any other begins to change what Hiccup thinks is possible, and together they learn to fly.
