Hundreds of Beavers

“Possibly thousands.”

Jean Kayak (Ryland Brickson Cole Tews) is a drunken applejack salesman in the 19th century who sets out to become North America's greatest fur trapper. The only thing standing between him and the merchant's daughter he wants to win is hundreds of beavers. Mike Cheslik shoots it in black and white with almost no dialogue, and Jean throws himself at the job like a man with nothing left to lose.
