“A singer, a young woman and a bank employee lie to get ahead in life, leading to cases of mistaken identities.”

Nobody in this story is quite who someone else thinks they are. Jeetu (Akshaye Khanna), an aspiring musician, and Nandu (Aftab Shivdasani) get tangled up with Anjali (Rimi Sen) and with Radheysham Tiwari (Paresh Rawal), who owns an electronics business. Priyadarshan, remaking his own 1984 Malayalam comedy, builds the mayhem out of one wrong guess about a stranger.
