A reclusive survivalist named Bowdrie (Mel Gibson) and his daughter Tag (Sofia Hublitz) pull a wounded woman named January (Shelley Hennig) from a river. January's arrival triggers a cascade of violence as a brutal criminal named Alejandro (Jordi Mollà) descends on the property.
