Hush... Hush, Sweet Charlotte

“The years will soon erase a lover's lies...the blood on his face!”

Charlotte Hollis (Bette Davis) has lived alone in her decaying Louisiana mansion for decades, and all she wants is to keep the house standing when the local government moves to tear it down. She summons her cousin Miriam (Olivia de Havilland), and Robert Aldrich lets the strange occurrences begin. The town has always believed Charlotte killed her lover long ago, and the film shows how a place and a rumor can hold a person in the same room for a lifetime.
