Stanley Sugerman (Adam Sandler), a washed-up NBA scout, catches a glimpse of raw talent in Bo Cruz (Juancho Hernangómez), a street player in Spain with nothing but hunger. Stanley sees a last chance in the kid's game, and brings him back to train for the draft, knowing his own reputation hangs on whether Bo makes it. Everything Stanley has left, his credibility and his place in the league, rides on whether this hungry kid can become a player.
