Hustle & Flow

“Everybody gotta have a dream.”

Djay (Terrence Howard) is a Memphis pimp in a mid-life crisis who wants out of the street hustle and into hip-hop, and he'll take whatever help his friends can give him. Key (Anthony Anderson), an old friend, sets up in the heat of a small house, with DJ Qualls's Shelby on the beats. Craig Brewer shoots Memphis in grainy, sweat-soaked light, close enough to feel the work.
