Hyenas

In the desert town of Colobane, a poor and dusty place, word arrives that Linguere Ramatou (Ami Diakhate) is coming home, now fantastically rich. Djibril Diop Mambéty gives her a deal for the townspeople, including Dramaan (Mansour Diouf), who abandoned her years ago and left her with his child: her fortune, if he dies. Adapted from Dürrenmatt's play, the film shows neighbors who once shared hunger weighing their friend against money.
