In France in 2008, four small stories follow would-be criminals who want a better life than the one they have. Gino (Édouard Baer) and Suzy (Anna Mouglalis) turn up in the first, alongside older men like Jean (Jean Rochefort) and Émile (Laurent Terzieff), and each crime keeps asking for more nerve than anyone brought. Samuel Benchetrit leaves them in the middle of the job, Suzy still holding her waitress's apron.
