I Am Nevenka

“This is a true story.”

Nevenka Fernández (Mireia Oriol) is 24 and Councilor for Finance in Ponferrada in the year 2000, and all she wants is to do the job she was given. The mayor, Ismael (Urko Olazábal), is used to getting his way in politics and in private, and his pursuit of her follows her from the office into everything else. Icíar Bollaín stays close to Nevenka's face and keeps the town on the other side of the glass.
