John Smith (Alex Pettyfer) is a teenage alien hiding in a small Ohio town, moving every few years to stay ahead of the Mogadorians hunting his kind. When he enrolls in high school and falls for Sarah Hart (Dianna Agron), his guardian Henri (Timothy Olyphant) warns him the hunters are closing in. John has to choose between the life he wants and the one that might keep him alive.
